This is Bentley, he’s a personal trainer at the gym in San Myshuno and until meeting him, I was pretty convinced that either a rando townie or Bridget would be the new legacy heir. Look at the pink hair and the green eyes, it’s definitely must be him. Problem 1: Bentley is an older young adult and Harry is still a teen (a couple of days from age up). Problem 2: Bentley has 2 children (I peeked in MCCC). I also don’t know what his romantic preferences are.
One thing that you should know about my legacy challenge play style is that it’s less of a “let’s play house” bit and more of a Game of Thrones scenario, particularly later in the challenge or whenever I start getting bored of the game (what’s the point of even playing The Sims if it’s not at least a little bit unhinged half the time). Bentley, as mentioned above, has 2 kids and having older children outside of the “royal lineage” just won’t suffice! So what do we do? Stalk him and find out where he lives of course, and then try to set everything on fire with magic.
Unfortunately, Sims are at times are actually good at self preservation. Since this “experiment” was not on a home lot, I could not lock or block the doors to prevent them from fleeing. I guess I could have just done all of this on a lot that I own to make it easier, but I wanted to experiment with the limits of magic related mischief since I haven’t really done much with spellcasting before and since it has been a while since I last picked up TS4 (coming out of a several month sims break to get ready for the new expansion. Hype!)
I ended up cheat freezing them to death with MCCC. Found out later however that these sims aren’t actually his children and likely either his siblings or nieces/nephews. Whoops.
I’m sorry for accidentally murdering your family. Or whoever they were….
I did find one of his two bastards in one of the Strangeville trailers. Did you know that you can just invite infants over for a sleepover? Like, they will just appear on your lot on your front lawn sans parents or adult supervision, it’s really odd.
This was the exact point in time in which my husband, hearing cackling coming from my office, comes over to see what’s up and subsequently asks “why is that baby trapped in doorless room surrounded by like 30 wooden chairs?” Note: Any sim younger than child is flagged as invulnerable by the game. I guess I could have just looked that up.
May have MCCC cheat aged her up because they don’t seem to autonomously age up when invited over?
The time has finally arrived for Harry to age up to young adulthood. I really wanted reset Bentley’s age so that there wasn’t such a huge age gap between him and Harry, but NPCs don’t autonomously drink potions and I don’t think there’s any non-cheaty way of doing that. Besides, I guess the “falling in love with an older man” storylines works too and hasn’t been “used” yet in this challenge.
There’s nothing quite like having your mother cast infatuate on your crush at your birthday party to speed things along. Good news though: He’s into men it seems.
But in the several sim days that it had taken to handle this kerfuffle and wait for Harry to reach young adulthood, Bentley had apparently gotten married to some guy named Anton. After much woohooing, relationship building, seducing, and repeated attempts and getting him to leave his spouse, Bentley would absolutely not budge.
So that leaves only one other option. Well two, but I’m done burning and freezing NPCs to death. There’s nothing like inviting your mother over to repeatedly start fights with your crush and his spouse to intentionally lower their relationship score….
But it worked like a charm. Easy peasy.
Anyways. Congrats Harry and Bentley. Your new kids better be cute…
