  • Silvara is technically a twin, but her sister, twin #2 vanished upon aging up.
  • Made her a spellcaster
  • The intent was to have her be a self-employed farmer on the homestead, but she aged to adulthood around the time the Life and Death xpac was released so I maxed out the Reaper career, then chef to meet an aspiration, THEN finally self-employed

  • I’m kind of sad that she didn’t inherit curly dark hair like the twins, because that would track with book Kitiara. Also kind of sad that the twins are girls not boys, because that would also track lol. Because of her red curly-ish hair, I feel like she should have been named Tika, but I had already used Tika as a name during the last Legacy and wanted to be different.
  • She’s not as cute of a teen as I had hoped.
  • Ah okay, the reason why Gwyn vanished is because sims don’t count as people until they age up to child. The house was full because cats count towards the household max, but for some reason it still allows you to try for children if you are at 7 sims + cat (or in this case 6 sims + cat + twins).
  • Killed her off via death by meteorite to make room for a horse. Reddit is right, this is a reliable way to kill sims.

Generation 5: Goth Kids

I’m including Rudeus’ kids in this post. Diane and Sawyer have been the “chosen” sanctioned relationships to carry on the Goth Offshoot lineage; I can’t fully be bothered with anyone else. If the game chooses to pair them with someone, so be it I guess.

Rudeus and Diane’s Kids

Lane Squires

Traits: Adventerous, Active, Childish

Sergio Squires

Traits: Child of the Ocean, Recycle Disciple, Noncommittal

Sawyer and Antonia

Felipe Goth

Traits: Hot-Headed, Child of the Village, Neat

Generation 5: Sturm Squires

Parents: Paul and Rose
Traits: Mean, Neat, Hates Children
Discovered Traits: Lovebug, Active
Character Values:
Adult Aspiration: Friend of the Animals
Maxed Skills:
Career: Military
Death:

  • Oh boy, Sturm is definitely not the chosen one
  • Oh no he’s cute. I was going to kill him off but I’m not sure I want to do that now
  • Enlisted after graduating/aging up. Will move out when the heir reaches adulthood
  • Sped dated and had a kid with some rando gallery sim from Cupid’s Corner called Haven Love. They all live in the Spares House and have a lovely red-headed daughter named Mercedes
  • Haven Love: Bookworm, Music Lover, Loves Outdoors. At some point the game killed her off as she was eaten by a cow plant? But I still see her ghost and by ghost I mean, normal-ass sim floating around and doing stuff so something glitchy happened.

Generation 4: Rose Goth

Traits: Active, Neat, Materialistic -> Generous
Discovered Traits: Lovebug, Cheerful, Music Lover
Adult Aspiration: Leader of the Pack (Complete), Mansion Baron (Complete), Romantic Explorer (Complete), Bodybuilder (Complete), Painter Extraordinaire (Complete), Bestselling Author
Maxed Skills: Fitness, Romance, Painting, Cooking
Career: Romance Consultant (Max)

  • Rose, as a legacy spouse, now gets her own separate post. Her siblings and cousins can stay in this post.
  • I really like her eyes, they’re so pretty. I think one of the heir requirements is going to have her eyes

The Paul x Rose Wedding

The Wedding Stories pack is such a buggy shit show if you are expecting a picture perfect wedding but TBH it’s pretty great if you embrace the chaos. Highlights from Paul and Rose’s wedding:

  • Sims not showing up in their formal wear, despite the event clearly requiring formal wear. A few sims might just be a case of the game assigning them fugly dress clothes, but Rudeus 100% showed up wearing his gym clothes
  • Speaking of Rudeus, the sim who I had designated as the Man of Honor prior to creating the event and within the event options itself: He did jack shit. Like, I clicked the correct GUI options and he just say there and continued to badly play the piano throughout the entire wedding ceremony. This 100% tracks, so whatever.
  • The officiant never showed, which is ironic because it was supposed to be their creepy stalker nanny. Constantly calls Paul to hang out. Doesn’t show to his wedding. Someone is getting killed off.
  • I think someone else other than the bride and groom had cut the cake.
  • Rudeus spur of the moment eloped with Diane during his brother’s wedding. This wasn’t a bug, this was self inflicted because I wanted to see if there was a negative moodlet or anything for being a huge dick.
  • Mother of the groom showing up in a wedding dress. This one is also because of her existing formal wear being a wedding dress, but it also tracks with her personality

As a plus, the guests actually sat down and filled the seats.

Poor Rudeus…

Poor Rudeus lives an anxiety filled life: Dropped out of high school, permanent -2 mood debuff from fear of disappointing parents. Nearly died from setting self on fire while BBQing, fear of fire. I could buy a potion with aspiration points, but I am low because I just spent them all on my legacy sims or saving them for something.

But at least he has the cat….

Also, collector is a pain in the ass to complete.

Squires Legacy Lot: G4 Neighborhood Move

I had thoroughly regretted starting this legacy on a 50×40 lot. When I had started this towards the end of last year, I hadn’t anticipated being able to create rental lots, which take up a sizable chunk of the lot. The lot has been moved to the 64×64 plot in Chestnut Ridge (the stupid horse expansion was on sale for like half off so I picked it up). There’s now ample space for more rental lots as well as a full on horse ranch.

I wish there was an easier way of picking up and moving lots + families to a different space without having to: Save lot, put on new plot of land, reconfigure rental, shuffle sims around with the free real estate cheat. Also, upon moving the lot: All repair upgrades were lost (that’s fine, opportunity to raise repair to 10 on the G4 kids). The legacy portraits and pictures were retained. The urns and graves were in sim and house inventories.
